Five Minutes with Robbie Pennoyer
The Grace community has been at the core for much of the second grade’s social studies curriculum this year as students learn about how the school functions. In the fall, students began by exploring the parts of 86 4th Avenue that were less familiar to them, ultimately creating floorplans for each floor of the building.
Once they got the lay of the land, students began conducting interviews with some of the members of our community who help the school run. Guests so far have included Head Chef Angela Reynoso Batista, Chief Technology Officer Dr. Akbar Ali Herndon, Chief Advancement Officer Courtney Archer-Buckmire and Head of School George Davison.
Most recently, the intrepid interviewers held a conversation with incoming tenth Head of School Robbie Pennoyer. Throughout, students asked questions to get a better sense of Mr. Pennoyer’s background, his history with the school and what his goals are as he enters his new role.
Watch the videos below to hear a bit of what Robbie had to say during what was certainly his toughest interview by far.
